Want To Increase Productivity At Work? Plan Your Week Out Before You Start It

Productivity at work does not happen in the blink of an eye. It entails a strategy. This is where organization comes into the picture. When you want to achieve a greater height in the workplace and work smarter but not harder, it matters to strategize your actions. The best way to do so is to plan ahead. Remember that there are a few things to keep in mind when organizing for a better work week.

Invest in the Right Planner

Your planner can either make or break you. Gone are the days when a planner is simply a planner. Meaning, there are so many types of planners right now. They come in different designs, sizes, and uses. There’s one dedicated to moms, to dads, and even travelers. Find one that matches you, the goal-getter and workaholic you. Remember, your planner will be your best friend in the next 365 days. We of course think that STARTplanner offers the best productivity and life organizational tools :)

Be Intentional

We have the tendency to forget things unless it’s written down on a calendar. With too many activities on the way, (add the holiday rush and other personal plans) it’s not a piece of cake to prioritize things and find out what to do first. List down all the important dates you have to do for the week and add your goals from there.

Create a System

One way to complete a task easily is to identify the steps you need to do to achieve a certain goal. For instance, you have to answer emails and meet with clients. Include it in your weekly planner as they are: write “Client intake” or “answer emails.” Knowing what process to undergo is one smart way to make use of your planner.

Set Realistic Goals

When you have too much on your plate, it’s hard to find a way to get it all done in just a matter of days. Remember why you are doing it in the first place. Your goal is to become more productive. What are the things that should be done first? Take note of it and follow the “eat the frog system.”

Recharge Your Batteries

All work and no play will exhaust your energy. It’s best to start a week with your mind and body both refreshed. Don’t forget the weekends when planning. There’s just so much to look forward to! STARTplanner.com’s Little Loved 2017 Hustle Weekly Planner has a page dedicated to planning holidays, projects, and vacations.
